Important Information
Please verify your insurance coverage for the procedure after your consultation.
There may be additional costs for your hospital excess, anaesthetist, pathology, and radiology.
Certain medications interact with surgery and/or anaesthesia, therefore it may be necessary to cease or modify prior to your procedure.
Anticoagulants (blood thinners) may need to be stopped before a procedure or operation. Please discuss with your surgeon or anaesthetist at least 7 days prior to surgery to allow appropriate time to modify/cease medication if necessary.
Many of the dressings can get wet the following day. Bulkier dressings may need to be kept dry until your follow up consultation for suture removal with the nursing team.
When appropriate and particularly for those who are travelling, some procedures can be coordinated to occur on the same day as the consultation as a “see-and-treat” appointment.
